Dear parents/carers
We are very excited to let you know that all of the EYFS classes will be going on a trip to Paignton Zoo on Thursday 2nd March 2023. We will travel by coach to Paignton leaving school at 9.am and returning for the end of the school day. The focus of the trip will be to look at ‘People who help us’ (zookeepers) at the zoo and also to find out information and facts about many animals.
On the day of the trip your child will need to wear their school uniform and comfortable shoes for walking (trainers are allowed). They will need to bring a waterproof coat. They will need a packed lunch and a water bottle for the day (no fizzy drinks or glass bottles please). These can all be carried in a small, named backpack as they will wear this throughout the trip.
Please remember to cancel any school dinners booked on Parent Pay for that day. Children eligible for Pupil Premium please let the class staff know in advance so they can order a packed lunch from the Catering Team. If you would like to come along and help on this trip please let the class teachers know.
The voluntary contribution for the trip is £7.35. If you are in receipt of Pupil Premium then the contribution is £3.70. Please log on to your Parent Pay account for this trip by Thursday 9th February to give permission for your child to attend the event and to pay your contribution. If you require any assistance with Parent Pay please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
Many thanks for your continued support,
The EYFS Team
