These events raise vital funds for the school and this year have paid for visits, theatre trips, ICT and sporting equipment.

The October half term Smarties Challenge raised £804.26! Thank you so much for taking part in this!

This money funded the Panto by M&M Theatre who put on two performances of Cinderella for the whole school to enjoy on 16th November 2022.

The PTFA have successfully raised a staggering amount for the school. This is made possible through the hard work of all the committee members, and support from families and friends of the school.

This term our school launched a reward system where a child from each class is chosen to be awarded with a badge in recognition of something they have done or achieved that embodies our school vision. We also hope that children will suggest family members/ carers who may also be awarded a badge and certificate for their efforts in celebrating our school values within the community. Our first recipients this term are: The entire PTFA Committee! This is for their amazing fundraising efforts during Lockdown. Their ideas were creative and innovative and really helped those of us at home or at school to still feel part of the school community! The PTFA were awarded their badges at the recent PTFA zoom meeting!

We are fortunate at Withycombe Raleigh to have a thriving PTFA that has been and continues to be an integral part of the school community.  In its time the PTFA has raised tens of thousands of pounds, which has been spent on equipment and resources to enhance our children’s educational experience and the school’s facilities.

Our PTFA however is about much more than simply fundraising. The PTFA exists to provide closer links between home and school and it is an excellent way to bring staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school, working towards a common goal.  It is fun too!

All parents and members of the school community are encouraged to get involved, even if they only have a small amount of time available. All families are automatically members of Withycombe Raleigh PTFA when their child joins our school.

You are all welcome to attend our meetings, to get involved in what’s going on, share your ideas and opinions. Meetings are advertised on the notice boards around school or you could join our email list which will enable you to receive the minutes and reminders regarding all events.
