Have you seen our fabulous new banners featuring artwork by the winner of the Zig Zag competition?

Well done Elsie, your illustration looks brilliant!!

We’ve displayed the artwork from the runners up along the main corridor. Thank you to all the children who submitted artwork for this competition we loved them all!

And just a reminder that we’re in regular contact with Devon County Council who have agreed funding for a crossing patrol officer for our school. DCC have attempted to recruit, as have we, but we haven’t had any interest in the role so far.

If you’d like to be our crossing patrol hero you can apply to Devon County Council – the details are on the school website Vacancies page. While this is a DCC role, we’d love to welcome you to our school community!

60 brilliant things to do while at our school.

Each year group has a list of interesting activities to work towards, with every class having their own 'postcard' to write down when they complete their activities.

Anti-Bullying Week

We had a special assembly for Anti-Bullying week. Our local PCSO spoke to children about bullying, with a specific focus on social media and online bullying. She was very impressed with our knowledge, honesty and emotional understanding.

Mr Scudder managed the KiVA anti bullying program for our school, and he said it shows how this had a very positive impact on our children.

We started Anti Bullying week with Odd Socks Day!

The focus this year is online bullying - we have lots more information about online safety here:

We have several student advocacy groups including the School Council and our School Ethos Council with Mr Scudder. Members wear their badges in school so others can identify who their representatives are.

Did you know?

The plastic and metal parts of the badges we make in school can be separated for recycling, and we use an 'eco' seal which is biodegradable.
